Add a bit of texture to your table and elevate the senses with this unique table mat set. These mats are handweaved using environmentally sustainable materials by women weavers of Medinipur in West Bengal, India.

Mat weaving in Medina pur has histroic significance and the art has been passed down from generation to genertion. Becasue of this reason the mats also carry a geographical indication (GI) tag. The raw material used to make madur mats is a sedge of the genus Cyperus: Cyperus pangorei (formerly Cyperus tegetum).
